Online courses are trendy, but not every course is engaging and easy to follow. I have tried some of them and found two free courses that can really help you know more about astrobiology and spaceflight: Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life (Coursera), and Human Spaceflight: an Introduction (edX). I leave you with more details on the courses bellow, if you find any other cool online course in the meantime, please share 😀
Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life, from Coursera. Its done by the University of Edinburgh and is given by Prof. Charles Cockell – one of the top Astrobiologists in Europe. It summarizes very well what Astrobiology is all about, giving an historical background, some cool facts and of course, many cool insights on what is being done in the search for extraterrestrial life!
- Starts a new edition on February 20th
- It’s freee 😀
Human Spaceflight, from edX, is done by KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and is given by the ESA astronaut Christer Fuglesang. It is very well presented and pin points the most interesting facts on spaceflight – which at least for me, it’s exactly what I want to know!
- Started on January 23th, but you can still catch up!
- If you’re not into catching up, I’m sure there will be more editions coming soon 🙂
- It’s also freee – I love this free info thing :p
